Orbital Modulation in Continuum Luminosity

We calculate the continuum flux from the Be disc, assuming that the disc is optically thin and that the emissivity is proportional to $\rho^2$. Fig. fig:lc show the orbital modulation in the optically thin continuum from the disc. For simplicity, we ignore the effect of the obscuration of the disc by the star, which will become important for a high inclination angle.
